A biologist from the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), Alexya is currently pursuing a master's degree in the Postgraduate Program in Environmental Biology.

She does research studying the behavior of juvenile estuarine fish that resemble floating plant debris, both in form and in behavior.

​

When not doing research, Alexya escapes to a world of painting and doodles. One of the things she loves most is being able to combine her two passions, biology and art.
